In the news is something that should be brought to homeowners attention who have home security systems that are also using the new telephone setups that are through the computer rather than a landline.
While it has been brought to ADT’s attention and they are tackling the problem to find answers, some homes may not be as protected as the owners think they are and this is because of their choice in telephone companies.
When there is an incident in the home, the alarm system notifies the monitoring center and it does this by telephone line.
What is happening is that with some services that are internet or digital is that the signal can be disrupted and not connect, this is true also in the case of a power outage when the computer telephone service could not work.
